A sidewalk sign is a self-supporting A-frame that stands on a pavement and folds flat to be brought in. Because it is set out and retrieved daily, weight and hinge construction matter as much as the graphic: heavy enough not to blow over, light enough for one person to move. Panels are usually double-sided so the message reads from both directions of travel.
