Raised spot UV lays a clear gloss varnish over selected areas of the card and cures it so it sits proud of the surface. The effect is as much tactile as visual: a logo or a single line of type catches the light and can be felt under the thumb, while the rest of the card stays matte. It reads best on dark, uncluttered designs where there is flat area for the gloss to play against.
