Gator board is a foam-core panel faced with a dense wood-fibre veneer, which makes it noticeably harder and more dent-resistant than plain foam board while staying light. The rigid facing means large panels do not bow, and the surface takes print cleanly. It is an interior material — the core will absorb moisture if it is left out in weather.
