Cutting foam board to a custom outline removes the rectangle and leaves only the shape, so the object itself becomes the graphic. Because the material is light, large cut-outs can be hung, propped or mounted with adhesive rather than needing structural fixing. Detail is limited by the thickness of the board — very fine points will not survive handling.
