Backlit signage prints the graphic on a translucent film or fabric and lights it from behind, so the image reads as illuminated colour rather than reflected ink. Artwork for it is prepared differently from a standard print — colours lighten considerably once light passes through, and dark areas gain contrast. The format holds attention in dim interiors and after dark, where a printed panel disappears.
