Canvas printing puts pigment on a woven substrate that is then stretched over a wooden frame, so the finished piece hangs as an object with depth and no glass in front of it. The weave breaks up reflections, which is why canvas suits rooms with difficult lighting. Image edges either wrap around the sides of the frame or are mirrored so nothing is lost.
